Betsy Hearne
From GSLISWiki
Betsy Hearne teaches the Folklore class 590FL and a Storytelling class.
Along with Christine Jenkins she is one of our two Children's Literature professors. She has written some great children's books, including "Wishes, Kisses, and Pigs", "Listening for Leroy", and "The Canine Connection."
There are rumors that she will be retiring, but she does not know that we are secretly plotting to implant an invisible fence chip under her skin that will not let her leave GSLIS, so that we can benefit from her vast knowledge and kind heart forever!!!!
Along with Linda Smith, she is one of the kindest and most supportive people in the department, willing to help nearly any student with his or her research in whatever way she can.
